Montreal dreamers TOPS have been making shimmery feel-good tracks for a while now. Dropping two tracks earlier this week via their own freshly founded record label Musique TOPS, 'Echo of Dawn' and 'Seven Minutes' are two contrasting but equally magical offerings. Opposing the sparse, fragility of 'Echo of Dawn' the B-side 'Seven Minutes' takes a distinctively dancier direction. With consistently light ride taps and a snappy snare forming the rhythm of the track, gleaming guitars strike on the offbeat as groovy bass lines travel up and down the neck. With vocalist Jane Penny always-stunning vocals cutting effortlessly through the mix, its a disco-flavoured dreampop track that'll have you tapping your toes in no time. -Holly Mullineaux
